What a week that was! President Trump’s executive orders exceeded my expectations. Everybody (and perhaps more so those on the left) now realises that what Trump has set in train will not be limited to the USA.
After thoughts on what’s being achieved in the USA I’ll consider how the changes in the USA might impact on Europe.
This is not exactly what I promised earlier on X, but I decided to pull one section. I hope you’ll forgive me and enjoy this truncated version of what I originally planned.

MR T COMES TO TOWN!
Donald Trump, 47th President of the United States of America, is already implementing his election promises – and sending assorted groups into paroxysms of fury. (And it’s wonderful to watch!)
Though I’m not sure what upsets them more, a politician honouring the promises he made to the electorate or, as a result of doing that, dismantling the Globalist-left-green-woke alliance that’s destroying Western countries.
Maybe I don’t care; perhaps I’m just happy to see these bastards chewing the carpets at Davos, tearing out their green hair, and tearfully hugging the porcupine they were about to ‘re-introduce’ to Pembrokeshire.
But let’s go back a bit. To the last days of Sleepy Joe pretending he was running things. You probably know that son Hunter – who had nothing to do with that laptop! – was given a pardon going back to 2014!
Why 2014?
Because that’s when the CIA and state department mounted the Kiev coup, using Ukrainian Nazi militias, and implemented on the ground by arch-neocon Victoria Nuland, who resigned last year. The coup was not her only excursion into subterfuge and subversion resulting in massive death tolls.
(Though I agree with her on, “Fuck the EU“. Especially The Commission.)
The video below will help you understand Nuland better.
The coup marked the beginning of orchestrated violence against Russians in Ukraine, the emergence of US-controlled biolabs, and the start of the Bidens lining their own pockets from what soon became the most corrupt country in Europe.
Which is why the whole Biden family was given presidential pardons (including a brother I’d never heard of!) But the Bidens are gone. We won’t see them again until the movie.
Meanwhile, the good news keeps a-coming for Americans!
For President Trump has promised no more wind turbines and solar fields, an end to illegal immigration, a return to fossil fuels, to bring manufacturing jobs back to the US, to lower taxation, to reduce utility bills, and so many other changes that ordinary, sensible Americans will welcome.
Measures that are opposed by Globalists, Marxists, ‘environmentalists’, and shrieking Wokies who really need to get their heads fixed.
Perhaps Trump’s best moment thus far was telling those assembled Globalists at Davos to go do one. And enjoyable though that was my support for Trump is neither 100%, nor is it unconditional.
The “Gulf of America” suggestion didn’t really bother me because it’s a bit of harmless bombast, the kind of thing we expect from him. Though his position towards Canada and Greenland needs to be clarified.
As for the Panama Canal, the Monroe Doctrine still holds. And if that vital waterway is, as Trump and others allege, effectively controlled by China, with US Navy ships being penalised, then the USA has every right to take back control of the PCZ. And we in Europe should support him.
As I say, Trump is flawed, I accept that. But the good he’s doing now outweighs all his shortcomings. Maybe this ‘warts and all’ appreciation was well explained by Hollywood actor James Woods, almost five years ago.
Let me conclude this section with some final thoughts on Ukraine.
If Trump stops funding and arming Ukraine, then the war is as good as over. Saving many thousands of European lives.
We might then be able do what we should have done in 1990 – reintegrate Russia into Europe. As was done after WWII with Germany. For Russia has never fought against let alone invaded a Western country.
Of course there’ll be resistance from Poland, the Baltic States, and a few other countries, but the Soviet Union is dead and buried. And if French, Belgians, Dutch, Danes, Czechs and others could get over WWII fairly quickly then the countries of the east will have to get used to living with Russia.
To achieve this ambition we might need to punish those, like Victoria Nuland, who’ve demonised Russia and Russians; for these are the same people who elsewhere have manufactured coup after coup, that have engineered regime changes, and have instigated conflicts around the globe costing millions of lives.
Remember! this is the system President Trump wants to dismantle. Oppose him and you support the Permanent War Party lunatics straight out of Dr Strangelove.

WHITHER EUROPE?
It appears the USA has been saved, but Europe is still led by compromised weaklings.
By a political elite actively working against the interests of its own people. Especially the working class. That’s because the glorious future envisioned by the Globalists and their green-woke-left foot-soldiers has no place for the white working class.
The New World Order has no need for a vast labour force destroying the planet with their children and their cars. Their farting cows and their racist dogs.
The reference to racist dogs is another reminder of how the lunatics have taken over the asylum. However absurd, the Globalist agenda must be defended and promoted, by the political elite, the Globalist-controlled media, and the agencies that have been captured.
To understand the extent of that ‘capture’ here’s an ongoing story from the USA. One that’s seen little coverage in the media (for reasons that’ll become obvious). I refer now to what happened in the western part of North Carolina after it was hit by Hurricane Helene in late September.
Stories emerged that the people of this area were not getting the help they needed from federal authorities, in particular, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
It was even reported that across the devastated region of the south east USA, FEMA was picking and choosing who to help, and it seemed white people, and Trump supporters, were being ignored.
Eventually, a scapegoat was found, and sacked, but the problem went deeper. Which is why, when visiting western North Carolina last week, President Trump told people still waiting for help that he was considering doing away with FEMA.
Why did FEMA ignore this area? Well, it’s in the Appalachians; which might mean that big city sophisticates see the people living there as white trash, strumming Dixie on their banjos between gulps of moonshine.
And yet, while US citizens were neglected the Federal authorities found billions of dollars to cater to every need and whim of illegal immigrants.
What we see with FEMA, and even from bodies over here as disparate as the Director of Public Prosecutions and our National Museum, is that the poison of DEI and CRT has corrupted them and turned them against the majority population.
So let me explain DEI. It stands for ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion’. Which in practice means discriminating against ‘over-represented’ groups, and that always means the same thing.
A poison that has spread throughout the body politic and public life of the West.
Clearly, when you overlook the best qualified people, to favour those ticking the right boxes, then standards will fall. Whether it’s a university, a government department, or a police force. And when standards fall, we all suffer, including the groups being favoured. Which exposes what DEI is really about.
For just like Net Zero, uncontrolled immigration, or the attack on free speech, DEI is designed to weaken the West. Another part of the Globalist agenda.
The picture is unmistakably consistent, on both sides of the Atlantic.
We’ve witnessed the Globalist agenda at work, implemented by Cultural Marxists, and their useful idiots – deluded liberals desperate to appear ‘progressive’. Not forgetting of course the permanently offended, who live to invent new isms and phobias.
And the people see it. They see corrupt establishments empowering petty tyrants and commissars to control thinking, and to silence opponents, to dole out public funding, and to favour strangers over them. And they get angry.
In Europe, opponents of Globalism face absurd legal action, and democracies discuss banning political parties that don’t toe the Globalist line. Yet we’re told this slide into authoritarianism is ‘defending democracy’!
Which is why I’m convinced change is coming to Europe. Because as the Trump administration lowers prices by returning to fossil fuels, as it cuts taxes by reducing Federal spending, as it seals its border and deports illegals, as it restores freedom of expression and equal opportunities, there can be no turning back.
So let those responsible for imposing this nightmare accept that it’s over. And do so graciously. A bloody and hopeless rearguard action will serve no one’s interests – except those who have conspired for so long to destroy the West.

IN THE PIPELINE?
Someone has sent me a dossier on the Rhug Estate. How it’s run. By whom. Plus information on some of the practices and marketing ploys used. The dossier’s contents are intriguing, amusing, and in some parts very concerning.
As I start putting something together I’d welcome information from anybody with experience of the Rhug Estate; as an employee, a supplier, or a customer. Send what you have to editor@jacothenorth.net. (There is no prize.)

Sorry to spout so much from North Carolina, but I have to mention Trump and Greenland and Canada. This is NOT an example of Trumpian lunacy. Here’s why. Its worth remembering that George Washington started as an aristocratic surveyor. His generation knew that Virginia represented a tiny fraction of a vast land-mass. US history consists of acquiring vast chunks of the vast real-estate, one at a time. Most in Wales have heard of the Louisiana purchase, when Napoleon sold the whole Mississippi for buttons. But the list is much longer and very colourful, and has the character of enormous real-estate deals. They were all based on the fact that the USA was becoming powerful and rich, and was on the spot and willing to take on territory which Europeans were unable to run. Hence Florida (deal) California etc (war) and the fascinating story of how Alaska was part of Russia until the US bought it in an on-off deal. Again, for buttons. The US State Department file on Greenland is very old, very thick and pre-dates Trump by say 100 years. The US attitude to Canada has a long history going back to 1770s and the 1812 war. The US once sued the UK for Canada (Alabama Claims 1869-72). Plus there’s the Texas story. I’d be surprised if Canada joined the US. But, once in, the Mid-West, California, Florida, Texas and Alaska have all been glad they joined the USA and haven’t left. Rule nothing out!
I’m aware of US land acquisitions, by war or purchase, but Canada is very different in that it’s a settled and sophisticated country with tens of millions of inhabitants that might not want to join the USA. And what about seven or eight million French Canadians?
As for Greenland, a plebiscite restricted to the indigenous inhabitants might give an interesting result. Especially if a few billion in US dollars was promised, and the right to move to the USA.
My take on Canada is, thanks to Trudeau, its is nearly a failed state. Just shows what woke delusions can lead to. UK ditto. In Canada’s case, there are 2 reasons to think they will come back from the brink
Trump is a wind-up merchant. He’s like a lot of top sportsmen, he gets inside your head. He senses your near-failure and wants you to do something about it because he likes you and wants something better. Talk about the 51st State is a wind-up, but it does get the Canucks going. Not least because they are touchy about all the history. I think Trump wants Canada to wake up and succeed. He thinks an EU type deal might actually be worth thinking about: common currency, customs union etc
The UK needs to watch Trump and Canada, because Trump and Musk view the UK the same way. With affection overall, but with horror at the loss of free speech and not having proper Defence. The US is aiming for 5% of GNP, and Trump can’t see why UK and Europe can’t do the same in a wicked world. He’s got a point…..
Writing from North Caroline, watching Inauguration on tv and all that has followed, with Southern Belle. Amongst many other touches, you have to like the way Trump insisted on going to Asheville, hurricane-hit bit of NC Appalachia. He has a very good way with people. Comforted the NC victims. Only then went to California and told them to ‘wait in line’ and sort their State before they will get aid. Priorities spot on. tv has been showing endless talking by the people who have been running the fire, police, city etc during the fires in CA. Consciously or not, nothing could reveal better what happens when DEI hiring takes over, and is revealed en masse. It scarcely needs to be said that DEI hiring must stop. Which DT has of course done. Striking how the culture war can end. Based on watching the US, it ends when people assert common sense, look them in the eye and say ‘we’re not doing this any more!’ The woke left in the US know their era is over and they have collapsed. They come across (in the US) as older now, tired, with ideas that they know in their hearts have been rejected.
Interesting how this might play in Wales. I pointed out the above for Nation.cymru and got blocked. I notice that Shipton et al are coming round to the need for change, inevitable. Problem is that Wales and England don’t have a Trump. He has resilience in bucketloads, a good political touch and a plan which comes through as common sense. I see nothing similar in Wales, or even England. Is Reform an answer? If Reform in Wales went Welsh and picked a Welsh-speaker like David Jones, ex-MP for Clwyd I might look at it. As it is, I wonder what could be done with ex-Plaid MP Johnny Eds, Gwlad, McEvoy/Propel (who beat Reform in Splott)? Ideas for a new Welsh alignment? We need to sort something.
I was thinking of you as I wrote it, wondering if you were over there.
When I heard the name Asheville – as being badly hit by the hurricane – I immediately thought of Bascom Lamar Lunsford. There are some great videos of him going up into the mountains to seek out artists and songs. A kind of local, and earlier, Alan Lomax.
As for a European Trump, I don’t think it’s possible. Trump is too American. But we can live in hope. Perhaps rather than being dealt with in one fell swoop the system we detest will need to be dismantled stone by stone.
Imo..Rhug has been recently registered as a charity…reason. IHT and imo quite a few more ppl are going to do this too. Thing that many ppl dont get is that if you own a brand new combine harvester and wanna marry you…its going to cost you depending on size 1million…then you have the value of the land and the stock and the buildings and woops…so not saying this is the same but its similar…prob is Ms Reeves hasnt really thought it through as a lot of the old family farms dont really make that much profit…but the value of the land and stock upon death take them into a non viable sustainable situation. Friends of mine gifted theirs to their children years ago to avoid this. If you leave everything in your will to a charity then no tax can be deducted even if its millions…so I am curious lol…
The government will just change the laws regarding charities.
mmm.lol…I dont know…too much invested interest…one of the biggest charities relates to the Church of England the…thats a real education as to who the trustees are!..not much has changed since Henry 8th lol…
C of E – safe haven for shirtlifters and paedo’s. May be listed as a charity but acting more like an organised crime group. Very mealy mouthed on the surface but underneath just a weird mob heavily into manipulation and exploitation. Amazing what a bit of superstition can achieve in the 21st century.
It’s not just about bad apples, the CoE has gone Woke, fallen for the full agenda.
Too much of the Woke agenda is about normalising that which is usually regarded as deviant, hence the C of E gone woke!
The ascendancy of Trump will have a number of impacts on Europe, or specifically the EU and UK. Both entities claim to be among USA’s foremost allies but the relationship has tended to be a bit lopsided. Trump will make changes to that balance but it is open to doubt whether that will change much domestically.
Both UK and EU are wedded to certain mixes of progressive posturing which rarely if ever put better food on people’s tables, more wages in people’s pockets and enhance their feelings of well being. I would wager that any response from EU or UK will make life more not less miserable for the citizens as their interventionist instincts are to introduce more constraints and spend more money on things that show no real benefit. More taxes, less disposable income except for the seriously wealthy elites who will continue to waltz through massive gaps in UK and EU tax regimes.
Symptomatic of this inflexible adherence to perverse posturing is their continuing commitment to letting dimwit Milliband carry on blowing c.£28 billion on net zero scams. No doubt there will be cost overruns and not a lot of heating, lighting and power to show for it. This pattern repeats itself in many EU countries although some of those may change tack soon. I’m reluctant to attribute that to Trump or any other external factor. It’s just some nations are led by folk with a bit more common sense.
Reality was catching up with Miliband and the rest even before Trump was elected. There are too many on the left who can see who’s suffering under Net Zero and open borders – it’s the working class, the very people the left is supposed to be helping. And they can also see who’s profiting – Globalist corporations, the ultimate expression of distant and impersonal capitalism.
Reality was catching up with Miliband…… I don’t think it has sunk into his dense skull and won’t until someone fires him. These nouveau “socialists” are so close to big globalist corporations that they can’t see the irony. This is the kind of fascism that really threatens us all, based upon a toxic combo of hi-fallutin’ eco-green idealism and the corporate state built around huge financial institutions and businesses with so called socialists nominally in control.
I’m not saying he’s aware of it, I’m just saying it’s caught up with him.
Absolutely correct but!! its the net zero followers and as we know we pay millions to the owners of the turbines to switch them off as the Nat Grid cant cope.
You know it, and I know. But unfortunately, most people don’t know, and might not believe it if you told them. They’d have difficulty believing that we could be so stupid.

The Rhug estate is run by the decendents of the Salisbury family…Part of the family that owned Lleweni and The Wyn Family of Gwydyr. They are decended from Catrin of Berain. Catrin Tudor. Lord Newborough owns the estate and about 12.000 acres in Denbighshire. Thomas Salisbury ended up with being hung drawn and quartered for his part in the Babington Plot..in 1586. Catrin married several times including Salisbury or Salusbury and also Wyn.
Well done, Jac! We in Wales should indeed watch Rhug very closely. It is Wales’ flagship farm. If the Jac dossier contains negatives – root them out. If the Welsh Government can at last work out a genuine agri-policy for Wales, it must get the best out of all the smaller farms in Wales and also Rhug. I fancy a bit of re-wilding, yr afanc say. Bit of glamping may be inevitable – at the margin. But the priority must be to get Welsh production of Welsh food firing on all cylinders, and get some Trumpian optimism and energy going here.
The dossier I’ve received was pretty damning. But I agree, the future of Welsh farming, and to a large extent, rural Welsh identity, even the language, depend on the family farm.
Great analysis again by you Jac. I previously watched Trump’s presentation to WEF and question and answer session using a link provided by U K Column. Interesting to see how matters now progress in America and Europe.
European leaders will try to pretend that what happens in the USA makes no difference to Europe, but they’ll be deluding themselves. Unless they media censorship and travel bans people will soon realise that things in the USA are improving while Europe sinks even further. And if the ‘leaders’ of Europe deny political expression to that anger and frustration, then they must face the consequences.
Very interesting, thank you!
Too kind.
Interesting that the WEF page link where I was hoping to hear Trump telling the Davos lot to ‘do one’ has seemingly been broken…
Odd. I’ve changed it now. Enjoy!
