C’mon Jac, North Wales has to be evacuated because of two main pollution issues, nuclear waste and sheep dip, that’s why they’re joking at us and declaring Traws to be a tax free development zone and building homes and schools for the learning disabled everywhere…. they’re needed!
Villages and the small, local communities is where many prefer to live, especially the elderly. The village post office could be ties in with Parcel Post for local deliveries, the Job Centre for local jobs such as farms and forestry, Social Services, IT delivery for those that can’t be bothered to learn how to use the damn things…. lots of things, just get a young, concerned, go-ahead couple of youngsters to run it rather than the proverbial old lady postmistress who is now out of date…….
Post Offices could easily survive in Wales, they just have to be re-invented in the Welsh context,then villages too will survive. If Credit Unions were based in the Post Office rather than dodgy Irish Banks…… remember the Giro Bank which Mrs.Thatcher sold off? We should re-invent it!
No! They want North Wales to die off so it’s only us who live here and have proven our like for it who can save it.
Even our SocialService housing, recently privatised as so-called Housing Associations will shortly go bust, as they’ve been designed to do (look at the crazy amounts of mortguage debt they’ve taken on as well as being valued well above their local value by expensive London Estate Agents, like Savills.)
Sold off as holiday homes, just like Porthmadog.
All main roads run in from England, like they always have done.
Come and look at the fancy housing estates being built in Barmouth, the marinas they’re building for fancy yachts (b-vag.org) (swnydail.com)
