Look at this Jac. I know it’s the English NHS but it must be happening in Wales too as our lot always follow the English and as you’ve highlighted, our socitey is generally older and not helped by in-migration of retirees.

In reply to D Morris. Maybe the fight is over and the only resistance left is kept for the rugby field on international day, how depressing is that? That certainly is all the media appears concerned with. Imagine the mauling in the papers Gatland would get if Wales lost a rugby game. Now contrast that with the complete apathy to the targets missed by our Government.

I agree with your vision for North Cymru Jac, Wrecsam should be the Hub of the North, however those down the Bay will has no such vision for our nation. Let’s be brutally honest here, we (Welsh) are not respected, considered or even recognised because we’re weak.

We’ve allowed our dire situation to cultivate with little resistance, the cause has been recognised and there are many good suggestions on how to improve our circumstances but all ideas need commitment & action, sadly there is little evidence of this.

If our current predicament is not felt to be serious enough to spark nationalists into action then I’m not sure what will. Maybe the fight is over and the only resistance left is kept for the rugby field on international day, how depressing is that?

In reply to D Morris. I have argued on more than one occasion that Wrecsam should be built up as the centre for northern and central Wales in order to keep services and money in Wales. The outlay would soon repay itself as shoppers went there instead of Chester and Shrewsbury and jobs were created. In transport terms I would make Wrecsam into a 'bottleneck', with trains and buses from Aberystwyth and Bangor, Welshpool and Rhyl, going through Wrecsam before crossing the border. Yes, make it difficult for people in Wales to get to Shrewsbury, Chester and beyond to spend their money. Put Welsh interests first.
