I suppose I could pinch a boat on South Wales coast and paddle across to Somerset or North Devon but the natives over there have as big a problem as ours with the influx of big city types and others to bugger up the housing market and cause over reliance on seasonal low wage jobs.

It might be only a matter of time before we do see reports of ‘Welsh refugees’. But I doubt if they’ll be heading for Starmer’s England.

If they unified, they’d be by far the largest country in the world, and with a continuity federal system, it just could work… the United States of North America, with Canadian or American as colloquial enthnonyms much like our own English, Welsh, etc. At least an interesting thought experiment. If nothing else it’d give Canadians the opportunity to finally bin Spam Face and his wizened consort as figureheads.

In other news, I passed through Derby earlier in Deepest Darkest In-Gur-Lund, and noticed the two closest large hotels in the vicinity of the station were all but closed down, ‘no entry’ signs in place, but still with lights on and activity within. It dawned on me what was afoot quickly.

I’d like to think the guests of these places are making themselves busy to the benefit of the good folk of Derby. I would love to hear stories of these chaps that occupy these places going around picking up litter, getting to grips with their English and making attempts to knock doors and offer their services in regard to odd jobs, or whatever other public spiritedness that might be thought of. Because after all, if I’d escaped from some war-torn hellhole by the grace of God to a 50 quid a night plus meal allowance sanctuary funded by the taxes levied on my new hosts, I sure as shit would be doing as much.

Wow! What a rant. Yes, I’ll concede that I’d overlooked the war with Finland. But that was Soviet Russia, and Finland had been part of the tsarist empire. So it’s complicated. Maybe I should have said Western Europe.

Did you read what I wrote? Trump wants to deal with the deep state aka the Permanent War Party. No one questions his sincerity in wanting to avoid war and conflict. He wants peace and stability, internally and externally. That’s one of the reasons he’ll soon be meeting Putin and Xi. If you think I’m wrong, then name those in his team you think want war.
