In reply to <a href="https://jacothenorth.net/blog/gilestone-thinking-outside-the-box/#comment-42596">Welsh Water</a>.

Well, what a surprise!

I'm sure you 'undertake research visits to other water companies', but the USA seems a bit far, and a bit expensive. And then, the fact that the Beacons Mega Catchment is modelled on the Watershed Agricultural Council, which exists to guarantee good water for NYC, plus the fact that west to east water transfer has been talked of for decades, is bound to raise eyebrows. (And not just mine.)

The way I see it is that Dwr Cymru, working with the 'Welsh Government', and the NFU, is seeking to divide farmers, or promise some livestock farmers survival if they play ball. It's a 'Be smart and get aboard the lifeboat!' strategy.

Also done to detract attention from the pollution problems caused by DC. Which then explains why you and your friends and allies in Corruption Bay - politicos and civil servants - will pay river charities and environmental groups big dollops of cash to lie about pollution and blame it all on livestock farmers. Even to the extent of telling lies.

Which is what Rachel Sharp of Wildlife Trusts Wales and Wales Environmental Link was quite prepared to do. Last year she alleged that Welsh farmers use illegal growth hormones and these wash into and pollute watercourses. She of course apologised, she had no option. But did anybody put her up to it, or is she just another lying environmental fanatic?

She will figure in my next blog piece, out on Wednesday. So will Dwr Cymru.

“The blog post ‘Gilestone: Thinking Outside the Box’ contains a number of misleading errors and suppositions about Welsh Water and what we do. We can confirm that we often undertake research visits to other water companies in order to identify best practice and incorporate such learning to help inform how we can further improve the services we provide to customers.

“The suggestion that we undertook a study visit to the USA for the purpose of planning water trading arrangements here in the UK is completely false and simply not true. Our Brecon Beacons Mega Catchment is about working with stakeholders to protect drinking water in the Brecon Beacons which supplies almost half of the drinking water we provide. We could have easily addressed this point if we had been given the right to respond to any such allegation.”

It would be ideologically difficult for Drakeford and his gang to agree with that. But if this is being controlled from London, as I suggest it might be, then who knows?

Water rights and their acquisition and licensing [rental] is a big business/investor theme in the USA. Could there be a trial run here? Farmers first then move on to other industries/types and situations.

Methinks our politicos are selling us out under the guise of "foreign investment" or "helping the planet". Has anyone noticed the biggest beneficiary of the Ukraine situation is the USA - buying up Euro & UK companies on the cheap and selling gas at 4x the price. Never let an opportunity, war or WAG go to waste.

From their perspective it makes a certain sense. Chopping down trees to put up turbines and then taking over farmland to plant trees kills two birds with one stone.

A major problem is that politicians have fallen into line with the Globalists agenda, and convinced themselves that it's the right thing to do, and because it's such an existential issue then it's OK to lie. And there's a lot of lying going on.
